Elizabeth is passionate about sharing her knowledge, She has a wide range of teaching experience covering a broad spectrum of levels & subject areas.

Her material and process is guided by order, balance and a modernist aesthetic form the basis for her work. Elizabeth uses hand-fabricating techniques to transform precious metal into elegant, flowing, facetted pieces alongside more complex organic forms. Her work embodies a rare mixture of precision, timelessness, and a strong sculptural aesthetic. Each piece is exquisitely crafted with the finest attention to detail and surface finish.

Elizabeth enjoys the design process as much as the making - researching, exploring and the bringing together of ideas as themes evolve and order emerges. Her earlier work has a distinctive hard-edged geometry but in the 2000’s when she had her children, she slowly graduated away from this as she explored more organic, sensual, and sculptural pieces. In her most recent work, she has introduced colour through a combination of oxidized silver and brightly coloured silk thread. The silk thread is used as an alternative way of constructing to 'sew' tubes of silver together creating lightweight and graphic one-off pieces. The construction method and the lightweight nature of this work opens new opportunities for creating interesting structures as well as playing with scale.
