Ane Christensen

My work explores the boundaries between functionality and sculptural form.
The starting point for all my work is the simple geometry of spun forms, tubing and flat sheet, which I then ‘interrupt’ and deconstruct using piercing, scoring & folding and hand forming.
I have always drawn inspiration for my work from the urban landscape. And especially from building sites, ‘negative spaces’ between buildings and architectural decay.
