Annie Sherburne: Birth of Flowers
1 May - 1 June 2019
A career-spanning retrospective, Birth of Flowers, featuring textile and jewellery artist Annie Sherburne.
Birth of Flowers celebrates the work of textile and jewellery artist Annie Sherburne. A pioneer in felt making in the 1980s, polymath Sherburne is a devotee of the ‘slow movement’. She believes in making objects that take patience and time to create, seeing this as an act of rebellion against the financial imperative of mass production. For London Craft Week, the artist gives a demonstration and ‘Meet the Maker’ session.
