Widely admired for her technical innovation and creative vision, her unique approach to stitching, working at large scale and representation of complex narrative and symbolism have influenced a generation of textile artists. Her most recent, acclaimed solo exhibition (2018) at The Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester addressed difficult contemporary issues.
