Vicky Shaw

For Vicky Shaw, the process of drawing through printmaking has become a tool through which ideas and form flow. Drawing inspiration from the world that surrounds her and often referencing the domestic and the everyday, objects and forms are subjectively chosen for their aesthetic qualities. Often the starting point is a visual playfulness, a love of line, colour and the subtle differences of stripes, dots and repeat patterns, which in their turn are abstracted into drawings and ceramic forms.
