Laura Adburgham

Laura Adburgham handweaves one-of-a-kind textiles, ranging from scarves and rugs to sculptural pieces. Her work focuses on the intersection and interaction of structure, texture and colour in constructed textiles. Natural materials such as silk, wool and linen are hand-dyed to create intricate effects, before being handwoven on a modernised traditional floor loom. Each process is done by hand – from preparing the raw material to the finishing details, Adburgham often devises her own methods to push technical boundaries.
