Wendy Ramshaw

Wendy Ramshaw was one of the UK’s most distinguished contemporary designers and jewellery artists. Since establishing her studio in London in 1969, she created an exceptional range of imaginative, beautiful and surprising jewels that can be found in over seventy museum collections around the world. From early fashion jewellery made in acrylic and paper, designed in collaboration with David Watkins, to ‘The Room of Dreams’, a dramatic installation of jewellery and furniture, Ramshaw has created magical jewels in myriad materials for women worldwide. She also had a parallel career designing large scale public art and art in architecture: murals, screens and gates, street furniture, staircases and sculptures – including gates to Hyde Park, London, in her modern aesthetic.
