Michèle Oberdieck has a background of printed textiles. This is referenced in her new work, which pursues the ways in which line and texture can become the form. She mirrors the soft organic lines created when one molten colour bleeds into the other, within a biomorphic form. These moody, soft ethereal colour bleeds are reminiscent of dip-dyed fabrics.
Inspired by natural forms, and organic structures, Oberdieck explores balance and asymmetry through shape, surface and colour.
