My work embodies my connection to the transient Beauty of life and our environment.
We mould so much of our surroundings to suit ourselves but, at the same time we are subtly molded in some ways by our environment in return. An endless two-way process of connection and change based on our individual sense of touch and tactility.
The initial designs for my metal objects are based on abstract drawings which directly capture my perception and emotional response to my surroundings.
Etched into metal, these are brought to life through selective enamelling, patination and hand-piercing.
Over the last few years I have undertaken intensive research of exploring different processes of working with vitreous enamel which enables me to express an infinite variety of tactility and perception.
I hope my pieces will touch and inspire the viewer to experience new connections of their own.
