Adi Toch

Silversmith Adi Toch completed her BA with First Class Honours from Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem and followed with an MA at the Cass, London in 2009. Since then her work has been exhibited internationally and is included in the permanent collections of The Goldsmiths’ Company in London, Crafts Council London, Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge, National Museums Scotland and The Jewish Museum New York. Toch won prestigious awards including Gold Award from The Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council 2013 and recently won the P&O Makower commission for National Museum of Wales.

“I enjoy the process of making vessels and containers as it allows me to work both with metal and space as materials, redefining borders between inside and outside. Through my work I explore the morphological qualities of vessels and the process of embedding functional objects with spirit. I try to create contemplative objects, communicating through their tactile essence.”
