Internships

Internship at Contemporary Applied Arts

The role is unpaid, but travel expenses within London Zones 1-6 will be paid for. This is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience in an applied arts gallery.

You will assist with a range of tasks, including invigilating the upper gallery, front of house duties (greeting visitors etc) and client liaison.

We are looking for an individual with flair and flexibility. You will need to be engaged and friendly, as well as organised and have clear communication and interaction with the team, members and clients of CAA.

Ideally you will be studying or educated in a relevant creative field and have proven customer service experience.

Although unpaid, this opportunity would provide someone with an interest in art to develop their knowledge of the running of an applied arts gallery and to develop their creative and professional skills.

Please note that this internship is offered to all as a volunteer activity and as such is understood to be outside the scope of the National Minimum Wage legislation. CAA is unable to make an offer of permanent employment at the end of this placement.

Successful applicants will then be contacted for a phone interview and any placement will be offered on trial basis.

If you are interested, please email a CV and covering letter to Imogen Gray, imogen@caa.org.uk clearly stating ‘internship’ in the title.

Our internship programme is currently closed here at CAA, but please email Imogen and we will keep you on record just as soon as we are looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our team.
