Helen Beard
Working with a Limoges porcelain I throw a simple white ceramic form, onto which I put a drawing. The technique for drawing is my own researched method of relief print and colour wash. The result is an image like watercolour and ink.
Each individual pot has an illustration, a scene from the way we live. I follow themes that are often nostalgic or even slightly old fashioned. The pots tell a story, sometimes quirky, and sometimes with touch of humour about British way of life.
