Title: Crucial Moment
Material: Precious white metal, precious yellow metal, gilding metal, wood.
Diamond rocks occur most often as octahedral (8 faces). To create a gem-grade diamond, the first step is to cut the diamond rock into two halves. Only an experienced master of many years training and with a deep knowledge of the diamond's crystal structure should make the first cutting. This is extremely important, because either this can achieve the maximum value of the diamond, or decrease its potential value.
Title: Enduring Pain for beauty’s sake
Material: Precious white metal, gilding metal, wood
The Diamond is so loved because of its reflection and refraction. To achieve its brilliant beauty, the diamond polisher has to cut a diamond rock into the ideal shape (the typical one is a round brilliant cut with 57 or 58 faces). During the cutting process, the diamond rock also starts to loose its weight. The concept echoes the obsession of today’s society, shaping our body to achieve the perfect figure.
