Chris Keenan
The pots that I make are to be used and enjoyed in domestic life. There are certain forms that have been present since I began making - cups, bowls and pots for flowers - and I still derive pleasure and satisfaction from the formal refinements that come with each fresh exploration. For me, the bowl remains the form where subtleties of line are most elusive and consequently most rewarding when successful. The work is thrown Limoges porcelain, glazed using combinations of tenmoku and celadon and reduction-fired in gas kiln.
