From time to time CAA host special events in the gallery or at other venues. These events fall outside our normal exhibition activiites and feature artistic collaborations, performances and other stagings and environments for the display and appreciation of CAA artists' work.
Meet the MakerSusie Thompson will be making pieces in the gallery Thursday 19 and Friday 20 April, and Thursday 26 and Friday 27 April, 10:30am-1:30pm, 2:30-5:30pm, free admission.

Emmanuel Cooper/David Stoll – an evening of talks and music1 November 2006 Contemporary Applied Arts were delighted to host an evening of talks and music. This special event was a collaboration between the distinguished ceramicist Emmanuel Cooper and the acclaimed composer David Stoll. Both composer and maker talked about the way they approach their work and the ideas that inform its creation. The talks were followed by a performance of SPACES IN A SPACE, David Stoll’s fourth String Quartet, by the internationally famous Bingham String Quartet. Viewing and refreshments from 6pm, talks and music 6.30-8pm |
