After graduating from the Royal College of Art with a Masters degree in Furniture Design in 1993, Katie Walker formed Katie Walker Furniture to design and produce innovative, elegant solutions in the field of furniture design. Working predominantly in wood, her approach to design is to combine function with a strong sculptural interpretation of the structure. The result is the development of a unique, contemporary, visual language. Working with private clients, interior designers and architects, Katie has built an extensive portfolio of designs containing both site-specific commissions as well as more standard pieces which are available to order and which have achieved considerable acclaim.
