Tyler Kimball

Tyler Kimball is a glass artist residing in Seattle, Washington. His game-themed glasswork can be seen around the world in galleries, private collections, and museums. In his current series of glass shuttlecocks he delves into a wide array of design techniques to achieve the feathering and lace-like look of the net. Its not unlike devising a new strategy for a different opponent. A slight change can create a whole new game or piece, Kimball said of the shuttlecock patterning. Kimball has worked with glass as his main medium since 1999. He has studied at Pilchuck Glass School, Pratt Fine Arts Center, and Pittsburgh Glass Center under various great instructors.
