Memories

This series explores the use of the Poppy as an international symbol that celebrates the lives of the men and women lost fighting wars, which arguably nobody actually wants.
In Afghanistan, this is particularly poignant because the opium trade is a key factor in funding “the enemy”. Barbed wire, either real or made from glass, may be incorporated to add a further physical and symbolic element to the piece.
