Christine Hurford

As a Londoner now living in Cumbria, my work embraces two worlds, filtering the traditional views of one place with the lack of space and detritus of the other. Projects respond to place and time, linking ancient places, customs and especially beliefs with contemporary thinking looking at lives ignored or disregarded by others and bringing them to greater prominence, often using insects as a means of conveying these deeper feelings.
