Helen Yardley

“My design philosophy is extremely simple. Whatever I make should look absolutely right and be as beautifully crafted as possible.  It is a marriage of two disciplines; aesthetic and functional.  All my designs are essentially paintings about colour, shape and space. My objective is to make paintings /rugs /wall hangings that work visually but carry layers of meaning. There must be something rather more lasting than pure decoration.”
