Marie Retpen
Terminator is a series of sculptural work inspired by the Looking Glass Insects of the novel ”Behind the Looking Glass” by Lewis Carroll.
They are ambiguous creatures, living organisms with familiar human features combined with a robotic mechanic look.
Placing the pieces around the room suggests movement and this implication of the sculptures liveliness makes them, at the same time, intriguing and repelling.
