Robert Cooper

I respond to change, and when I was asked to show two large wall pieces for the Christmas showing here at the CAA. I thought it would be interesting to revisit the idea but with a change of scale and material, using porcelain for this focus. I have restricted my palette, I like challenges so here are the results.

I am also showing vessels, which I  made with textiles and collaging other cultural forms in mind. There is a fusion of medieval shapes and canal ware .

Hmong textiles are referenced in the work after coming to my attention in American exhibitions, collective and private collections.
