Anna Raymond

I use my practice to examine and challenge the everyday environment. I highlight over-familiar images and icons to reveal an obsessive collection of thoughts, moments and memories. I work to create a visual index of characters which analyse reality by materialising data.

I feel that my work continues to combine/blur the boundaries between traditional printing techniques and new technologies. Merging digital printing and embroidery, with more traditional techniques such as screen-printing, flocking and dyeing. I continue to be excited about what is possible within the boundaries of printed textiles, and the impact this has on the development of my work.
