Bronwen Deane

Her interest is rooted in the images she uses. These images are an exploration of nostalgia, usually from found sources produced in the 1950’s and 60’s.
She delights in primitively printed books, postcards and packaging with crude, inaccurate blocked colours and accidental misalignment. Her work explores how subtle changes in colour can engage the viewer and how the unwanted and discarded can regain its value when viewed in a new context. The bespoke acrylic print process I have developed allows me to incorporate these images in to wearable jewellery.
