Helen Millard

I was fortunate to have worked at The Glasshouse for a long period between 1990 and 1998, experiencing time at both Covent Garden and Islington. It still remains the most enjoyable time of my glass career to date, and I often think of my time there and realize how fortunate I was to work with such a diverse group of glass artists.

The Glasshouse proved to be a remarkable place for an eager assistant with never a dull moment and always the challenge of new skills to develop. From a personal perspective it gave me a strong foundation of glass making skills and a working ethos that has proved invaluable to my own career. I will always be grateful to Annette, Chris, Fleur, David and, of course, the unforgettable Ronnie, for such an enjoyable and inspirational experience.
