Jeff Clements

Jeff Clements now lives and works in Amsterdam, producing paintings, fine bookbinding and in co-operation with Katinka Keus, conserving early manuscripts and printed books.

Born 1934 Plymouth, Devon

1955-1957 Further part time studies in bookbinding techniques at The Central School of Arts and Crafts, London
1955 National Diploma in Design, Plymouth School of Art and Craft

Has exhibited internationally and fine bindings are to be found in numerous collections, notably, the National Library collections of Wales, Estonia and The Netherlands; The Museum of the Book at The Hague, and University Libraries in Canada and the U.S.A. 

2007 Awarded Hon. M.D.E. (Meister der Einbandkunst) Germany
2004 Koopman Prize for creative Bookbinding, The Netherlands
1981-1983 President of Designer Bookbinders
