Felicity Aylieff

For me clay continues to be a material that I associate with intimacy and touch. Indented, dappled, sometimes stippled with colour, sometimes ground and polished - the surfaces of the vessels I make record the history of their manufacture, they are made to heighten the senses; an invitation to question what one is seeing, touching and thinking.
