Helen Yardley
Helen Yardley’s designs are essentially paintings about colour, shape and space. The aim of her designs is to make something that works visually, while carrying layers of meaning. They can be inspired by visual or sensory stimulation, or as a response to the physical space. The emphasis is on making something that looks good, but also performs a function; something that is more lasting than simply surface decoration. Since 1992 Helen has worked regularly with French manufacturer, Toulemonde Bochart, designing for the retail market. She has also produced a collection for Heals and has worked on designs for a Japanese company in Tokyo. Education Recent Exhibitions Selected Book Publications |
