Repetitive layering of material to produce structural forms

Using a variety of wooden bobbins, wire cylinders are knitted that are then layered together to produce lightweight, sculptural forms to adorn the body.  The repetitive techniques used in the design of the pieces are mirrored in natural structures from pine tree branches to lacewing eggs to sea anemones to entire coral reefs.  These are recreated and fragmented by hand made units constructed from filament, precious beads, swarovski crystals or found objects, and delicately suspended by enamel.

Using unconventional objects, juxtaposed with precious materials allows the work to continually develop and diversify.
