Carole Waller

Carole Waller is a painter whose canvas is yards of cloth. Her painting is concerned with the human body and architectural space. The force within these paintings is timeless and transient.
Carole creates paintings to wear and to hang on walls. Wallpieces are often site specific, are on a large scale, and occupy three dimensional space when they are multilayered. She makes clothes which are original paintings.
The shapes are fluid and elegant they range from scarves to shirts, dresses to coats. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is in various collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum. These are clothes and paintings which delight the eye, the mind and the body, reveal to wearers and viewers alike a new understanding of light and space and movement.
