Geoffrey Fuller

The earthenware of Geoffrey Fuller has the same disarming individuality: a strange, almost visionary quality in his capriciously modelled figures. These have some of the invention of C17th Staffordshire but Fullerís field of reference is far more extensive. In both the sculpture and functional pots, there is the life and immediacy of folk tradition and old European country wares, and his work has the freshness of colour and surface that allows the properties of low-fired clay to speak for themselves.
