Kate Malone

Giant pineapples dripping with supersaturated crystalline glazes, or sprawling starfish overloaded with chemical combinations which flow and break into a rash of primary colours Kate Malone courts the spectacular without constraint. Exaggerations of scale provide surface details to tease the best performance from each application. Flirting with function, the addition of simple spouts, handles and lids conjures up thoughts of childhood wonderlands; an illusion contradicted only by the forceful reality of each piece.
