Danny Lane

Few contemporary makers have matched the sculptural ambition f Danny Lane. His range has been extraordinary-from stacked sheet glass chairs and Punkish jagged edge tables to glittering installations, like the staircase at the V&A Museum, Lane has forced us tothink about the complex nature and versatility of glass. Its qualities of light and texture, of moving reflections, of fragmentation and sharpness. Lane explores both the potential lyricism and expressive force of his material through a maverick architectural vision that surely parallels that of medieval glaziers.
